Basically its a bug fix version yet with more goodies .. Few apps removed from Core like Nokia Drop, Nokia Store and Nokia Pulse to give users freedom to have more writing languages with default English ROFS2. (Now you can flash with English ROFS2 and Writing languages ROFS3 as its been recreated with 10 more writing languages.)

Hey friends..

Well visited Nokia Center today and as I expected flashing there also didnt solve the problem so they asked me to submit the handset there and asked me to visit after 4-5 days.. Thats frustrating and very upsetting.

Anyways, thats needed to be done so now I am without my N8 and I cant upload any sneaks or something for next few days till I get my N8 back..

Selamat pagi sobat FS, kali ini admin mau share ilmu Microcontroller nih. Sebelumnya apa sih microcontroller itu? Mungkin yang anak teknik ataupun teman-teman yang aktif di bidang robotika sudah tidak asing lagi dengan microcontroller itu. Ok deh microcontroller merupakan single Chip yang bekerja berdasarkan instruksi program dan dapat menjalankan lebih dari satu program. Pembahasan kita kali ini yakni penggunaan software Code Vision AVR (CVAVR) sebagai compiler serta dilengkapi dengan pembahasan software Proteus sebagai simulasinya. Disini admin menggunakan CVAVR Versi 2.05.3 dan Proteusnya Versi 7.9 yang bisa agan download di website ini. Sesuai judul postingan, kali ini kita akan membuat script atau kodingan Running LED (LED Berjalan). Baiklah untuk lebih jelasnya bisa agan lihat langsung video tutorialnya berikut ini.


Bagaimana mudah sekali bukan. baiklah jika agan-agan ingin memperaktikkannya langsung berikut bahan-bahannya.
1. Satu buah laptop atau PC dengan OS Windows tentunya
2. Code Vision AVR 2.05.3
3. Proteus 7.9

Nokia Service Center and my N8

Nokia Service Center and my N8


Hey friends..

Well the good news is that my N8 is with me now, however the bad news is that its not well.. :((

Story goes like this..

I got a call from Nokia center that my handset has been repaired and I can collect it, I went there and checked it and as expected it was a swapped handset with my old body. Well other then that they physically damaged my handset and purple tint issue was back there was no problem.. >:(

Anyways I had pretty hot arguments with the head of that center and eventually my phones body was replaced with a new one and as well as display too which at the moment satisfied me as there was no purple tint issue visible.

Now I am sitting at my home and was flashing Delight Belle v4.1 for final testing purpose and it struck me again, I tested it for few more examples of purple tint issue and there it is, slight purple tint issue is still there., grrrrr... I am really pissed off now.

I will visit them again tomorrow for the same cause but you dont worry, Delights next version will be published before or on the same date as promised.

Lets just hope that this time my phone will be perfectly fine.

Many college students find ourselves using the Altera DE2 board in our circuit design classes. Installing Quartus is an easy and pretty simple task; however, installing the USBBlaster drivers for the DE2 is a huge pain.

Recently I moved to Windows 8 and was presented with the task of re-installing all of my programs and with that trying to get the USB Blaster to work. Doing so on Windows 7 is quite simple but with the new Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows 8 the drivers that Altera provides refuse to install properly.
As a result I searched around and  found a solution on Alteras forum:

Looking at the final post in the thread by Blackwater we are presented with a quick and dirty solution that doesnt require you to install any additional software. 

Here are the steps: 

1. Windows Key + R.
2. Enter shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00 
3. Click the "OK" button
4. System will restart to a "Choose an option" screen
5. Select "Troubleshoot" from "Choose an option" screen
6. Select "Advanced options" from "Troubleshoot" screen 
7. Select "Windows Startup Settings" from "Advanced options" screen
8. Click "Restart" button 
9. System will restart to "Advanced Boot Options" screen 
10. Select "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" 
11. Once the system starts, install the "USBBlaster" driver as you would on Windows 7

To install these:


1. Open device manager

2. Find USB Blaster 

3. Right Click and select "Update Driver Software"

4. In the popup window select "Browse my computer for driver software"

5. Browse and find the location of the files that you downloaded earlier selecting "x64" or "x86" depending on your system. 

6. Go next and install. If you get a popup saying that the driver is unsigned just ignore it and click continue. 

7. Hopefully it works out and now you are ready to use your DE2 with your Windows 8 system
